About Me
Shreeya Sinha is a product-minded journalist and newsroom leader with 16 years at the intersection of journalism, audience, and innovation — 14 of them at The New York Times across six desks, building new teams, products, and operations from scratch.
She is currently leading the Times' 175th-anniversary editorial package. Previously, she built and ran NYT Audio — the Times' first standalone app in nine years — overseeing a global editorial team and partnering with Product, Business, and Engineering to bring a new platform to life. On earlier desks, she produced digital packages for Pulitzer Prize–winning investigations, led the digital experience for the obituaries of Nelson Mandela and Fidel Castro, wrote and reported on opioid addiction, and led audience strategy on National.
Prior to the Times, Shreeya worked at Asia Society and MediaStorm, where her reporting on violence against women in India won the duPont-Columbia Award and earned an Emmy nomination. She is a former adjunct professor at CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
